Low Intervention Floristry- A Letter from Jaus
When I am not behind the computer dreaming up concepts for my Clients, I am out in the world observing nature. Through Intentional observation, usually involving a painting or a sketch, I am able to apply what I see and what I feel to Client designs. I follow what I call, "nature's code." There's a rhythm to the way the flowers ungulate and to the way they group themselves, and they always have a tendency to drift toward the sun. In 2025 my goal is to lean into the bounty and peace landscapes offer, and bring color play and scale designs into full focus. ​

First Wedding at San Yisdro Ranch as an assistant wedding planner to Sonia Hopkins.
It was on this first time I ever saw the role of, "Event Florist" and thought, "hmm.. I would like to be on that side of things"
Started my floral freelancing career.
Over the span of 2 years I would work for over 25 different designers and floral companies
Jaus of Vern's very first wedding season. During this first year we were published in Anti-Bride, California Wedding Day and Wedding Chicks magazine, making our very first wedding season one to remember!
In 2024, our second year producing our own events, we booked 10 full service weddings and have worked with notable corporate clients.
2025 is bound to be more adventurous and more creative than before.
