Before, I used to struggle with maintaining a blog. I think this was largely in part because I never really knew who I was writing to.
Six months ago I re-entered the traditional job market resuming the job I held more than a year prior. Now that I am back, at least once a day I am updating guest, and co-workers about where I have been, and what I have been up to. In the moment I tell them, "I took a year off, I started a floral company." Though true, it doesn't quite capture the essence of what this floral life brings.
As a wedding professional I find it is difficult to communicate the intensity of the industry--It is bustling, It is ever changing. Making it impossible to capture all that I have seen and all that I have learned in such brief moments.
So I am creating this space for the many special clients I have had the pleasure to get to know over the past 7 years. Thank you for your interest. Thank you for your support. Every encounter reminds me I am where I am supposed to be!
And to my friends across the globe this is also for you. A letter. A moment to catch up. A moment to show you my world. When I write I think of you. I miss you.
To our couples that have allowed JAUS OF VERN to create the floral story behind your most special days, this is also for you. a space to reminisce. A moment to see behind the process of the designs. A place for the beauty of your wedding day to live forever.
To my future clients I hope that through these post you'll feel the heart and see the talent behind our events. We can not wait to help bring your vision to life.
And to my industry peers and friends this is also for you. Only a florist knows what a florist knows and I hope there will be tid-bits of design and mechanics discussions. but mostly I hope there will be something to connect and relate to.
no matter who you are, I am glad you found this space and I am glad you are here.
Below are a few of my favorite photos from before the website was revamped. All photos from a shootout retreat in Joshua Tree hosted by THE SHOOTOUT SOCIETY, designed and planned by NICOlE LEZA DESIGN
I am wishing you the best start to the week!
